Tottenham Hotspur must come from behind if they are to reach the Champions League quarter-finals having lost 1-0 against RB Leipzig at home on Wednesday evening (BBC Sport).
Few players were at their best for Spurs on the night, but one man who really struggled was right-back Serge Aurier. The Ivorian had a nightmare in truth and lost possession on 25 occasions, whilst also winning just three of his eight ground duels and finishing with a lowly passing accuracy of just 63% (SofaScore).
Whilst covering the game, Football London journalist Alasdair Gold tweeted about the former Paris Saint-Germain player’s struggles and highlighted the major flaw in his performance. He pointed out that Aurier’s positional sense was all over the place, saying that he was playing too far in field and that was giving Leipzig the freedom of Spurs’ right-hand side (@AlasdairGold).

Loads of Tottenham fans were quick to respond to Gold’s tweet, with the majority of them agreeing and suggesting that the 27-year-old shouldn’t be in their starting 11.
