Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are baffled by Kyle Walker-Peters’ claim about Mauricio Pochettino.
The 22-year-old was interviewed on Southampton’s official website, and one of his comments was relayed by The Spurs Web. He claimed that if Pochettino was still at Spurs, he feels that he would still be at the north London club.
As per the article, the full-back only played one game under Jose Mourinho before being loaned out, which was in the 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stages at the Allianz Arena. The Englishman has only featured once for the Saints since his move, though, and will be hoping for more opportunities to prove himself to Mourinho once the campaign resumes.
He featured 23 times under Pochettino in all competitions, scoring one goal and managing five assists, according to Transfermarkt. However, considering that these appearances were over five seasons, it is perhaps understandable that so many supporters were baffled by his comments. Check out their reactions below:
