Tottenham Hotspur fans have been debating their Team of the Decade on social media recently after @DailyHotspur presented their 11.
The line-up they picked included Hugo Lloris in goal, with a back four of Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose.
Mousa Dembele and Luka Modric were in midfield, with Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Gareth Bale behind striker Harry Kane.
In truth, most fans seemed to agree with the majority of the players selected in this Team of the Decade. However, there was one player who was left out who many thought should have been included, Rafael van der Vaart.
The Dutchman played for Spurs between 2010-12 and in fairness he did enjoy a fruitful spell at White Hart Lane. Indeed in 77 appearances for the club, he managed to score 28 goals from midfield, whilst also providing 18 assists (Transfermarkt).
Several fans took to Twitter to suggest that the ex-Netherlands international should have been in the team, with some even claiming that he should replace Eriksen…
Tho VDV could get in this team.
