Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans have discussed a post from Football.London writer Alasdair Gold after he shared his latest article on his official Twitter page.
The journalist talks about what Spurs supporters can expect from the north London club in the next transfer window, rounding it off with an apology in his tweet.
Indeed, Gold does not think that everything will run smoothly once the summer approaches. After outcries from Lilywhites to pay the members of non-playing staff who were previously on furlough, the club made a dramatic U-turn and subsequently reversed their decision, but this may bring consequences, according to Gold.
He explains that the money spent on paying these staff could have been used for potential transfer fees and wages, meaning that if THFC supporters call for the club to spend money, they may be left disappointed if some targets no longer become affordable.
These Spurs fans have discussed the article, with one fan suggesting that the club should be looking for a defensive midfield player and striker in next summer’s transfer window:

I think the dollar amount of transfers will fall and clubs will do a better job of scouring the lower leagues for potential instead of buying a first team player. Free transfers and building from within are likely the way clubs will move towards.
