Tottenham Hotspur could be set to sign Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic in the January transfer window, according to Bleacher Report.
It would mean that the 31-year-old would reunite with Jose Mourinho, with the two having already worked together at both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Matic has struggled for game time at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to both injury and not being fancied by the Norwegian, making just three league appearances all season (Transfermarkt).
He is a player that United are thought to be happy to let go, with The Sun reporting that they have set a £15m asking price for the ex-Benfica man ahead of January.
Understandably, Spurs have been linked with him due to the Mourinho connection and Bleacher Report has suggested that it is a “real possibility” that a deal could happen in January.
However, plenty of Tottenham fans aren’t too happy after seeing the transfer rumour and have suggested that they do not want to see the Serbia international join them.
