Many Tottenham Hotspur fans do not want the north London club to sign Maxime Lopez after the Marseille midfielder has reportedly been offered to Spurs, according to the Daily Express and the Daily Star.
Information about the potential transfer was relayed by The Spurs Web and TranSPURS on Twitter, with both stating that the 22-year old is entering the final year of his contract and is set to leave France.
Lopez has been dubbed the new Nasri for his performances in the French league by Goal, who suggested that he is the most exciting player to come from Marseille’s academy since the ex-Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder.

So far Lopez has made 146 appearances in all competitions for Les Phocéens, scoring five goals and providing 21 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
Comparing Lopez from his debut season in Ligue 1 in 2016/17 to Nasri in La Liga with Sevilla in the same campaign, one can see the similarities. Both players scored an average 6.92 Whoscored rating for the term, and both also produced 1.6 key passes and 0.1 through balls per match. Lopez pipped Nasri for goals and assists though, scoring three and assisting seven compared to Nasri’s two goals and three assists.
Despite the comparison to a player who went on to score 36 goals and provide 44 assists in the Premier League (Transfermarkt), these Spurs supporters do not want the club to sign Lopez in the summer transfer window…

Would be invisible in the BPL. Too small, can’t be good more than 2 games and a very bad mentality
