Ryan Sessegnon has had a quiet first season at Tottenham Hotspur but fans should be excited about his future, according to Alasdair Gold via football.london.
The journalist revealed that many in the game think highly of the Spurs youngster, including his current boss Jose Mourinho, and noted the impact of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso on his development so far.

Gold wrote that Mourinho has high hopes for Sessegnon as he previously told the outlet: “I think Ryan is absolutely fantastic, I have known him since a kid in Fulham. When he comes to the first team in the Premier League it is different to the Championship.”
He concluded: “I think in this moment he is a winger on the left, can also play on the right, can learn progressively and even developing physically, which he is doing.”
Ever since he arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Fulham for £24.3m last summer, the 19-year-old has seemed destined for greatness, although he has been forced to take up a number of positions all over the pitch as Mourinho has tried to work out which one suits him best.
The teenager has made three appearances in the Champions League this season, scoring once, registering one assist, taking one shot per game, averaging one key pass and making one interception per game on average in the competition (WhoScored).
Naturally, plenty of Lilywhites fans drooled over Gold’s view on Twitter, with one supporter dubbing Sessegnon as a “speed merchant” and noting he is “Bale-esque.”

Before he arrived at Spurs, I thought he was a speed merchant with a cross. A fulham fan told me his main strength was his ability to find space, I was expecting something Bale-esque. Interested to see how he develops into a prem left back. Clearly has a good temperament
