Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming at Ryan Sessegnon after his performance in the north London club’s 3-0 loss away at RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Sessegnon put in the worst performance out of anybody on the pitch according to SofaScore who gave him a measly 5.6 rating. He lost possession of the ball a total of 23 times which was the joint-most alongside teammate Dele Alli. He also only managed to record a 63% passing accuracy, the lowest in the Spurs team, and did not manage to tackle anybody in the entire game.
The 19 year-old was given his chance to play in the left wing-back role ahead of Jan Vertonghen by Jose Mourinho but it seems that he did not take his chance effectively. The Englishman will need to put in better performances if he is to break into the first-team on a regular basis.
These Spurs fans were fuming at the youngster on Twitter, with one fan claiming that he has ‘no composure’ and ‘no positional awareness’ whilst another described his display as ‘horrific’…
