Young striker Troy Parrott produced an impressive performance for Tottenham Hotspur’s under-18 team as they beat Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup on Monday night.
Spurs’ youngsters beat the holders of the competition 4-2 on the night, with Irish international Parrott netting two of their goals in yet another stunning display (tottenhamhotspur.com).

Both of his strikes came in the first 14 minutes of the match as he won two penalty kicks and converted both himself (tottenhamhotspur.com).
The goals helped Parrott maintain his outstanding record at youth level this season. He has been a regular in the UEFA Youth League for Spurs and has netted six times in four appearances in that competition, whilst also scoring twice in one appearance in the Premier League 2 (Transfermarkt).
His performances for the youngsters have already led to him making his first-team debut in the EFL Cup this season (Transfermarkt), whilst he has also earned his first cap for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly against New Zealand (The Sun).
Plenty of Spurs fans were left extremely impressed with the Irishman’s latest display at Stevenage’s LAMEX Stadium, with some even calling for him to be involved in the senior squad with Harry Kane and co more often.
Here is what some had to say about him on Twitter…
He was brilliant last night and certainly one to watch. Took time for photos with some of the young fans there after 👍 nice guy

Parrott has to added to the 1st team squad permanently very soon. It’s obvious he is well above the youth team grade.
