Tottenham escaped with a 3-2 victory on Saturday, after they went 3-0 up and then conceded two, just as they did against West Ham the week before. Dele Alli looks to be getting back to his best, with two goals and a WhoScored rating of 9.48/10, but their defence is eerily shaky.
However, there was hope that Mourinho is attempting to tighten up at the back when Jan Vertonghen made a last-minute tackle to stop Callum Wilson from earning a draw. His lunging block ensured Spurs left with the three points and Jose Mourinho will have been proud of the Belgian’s efforts.
Spurs fans were too, as they took to Twitter to praise the defender and his manager. The club’s official Twitter account posted two images of the key moment, and supporters were quick to express just how pleased they were to see it.

Spurs fans, what do you think Jose Mourinho needs to do to tighten up your defence?
