Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Christian Eriksen report

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen is yet to impress Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte, that is according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport via Ricky Sacks.

The Danish midfielder joined the Serie A outfit in January, with Spurs selling him to the Italians for a fee of just £16.9 million as his contract had just six months remaining (BBC Sport).

During his time in north London, the 28-year-old was a key player and produced some impressive attacking numbers. Indeed in his 305 appearances he managed to score 69 goals, whilst also providing 89 assists (Transfermarkt).

However since moving to Inter he has struggled, scoring just one goal and providing one assist in his eight appearances to date (Transfermarkt). And according to the report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte wants Eriksen to improve his intensity and physical condition in order to become a core part of the system.

Upon reading this, loads of Spurs fans have reacted with many suggesting that he isn’t as good as he once was, whilst others believe Conte will struggle to get the Dane to improve physically.
