Erik Lamela is being linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, that is according to a report from The Athletic, via @DailyHotspur.

The Argentine has been at the club since arriving from AS Roma back in 2013, but his time in north London has largely been plagued by injury problems.
Indeed, in six-and-a-half seasons at Spurs, he has missed 97 games according to Transfermarkt due to hip, calf, back and hamstring problems.
14 of those games have been this season too, although he did recently return to first-team action against Norwich City at Carrow Road (Transfermarkt).
When he does play he often makes a contribution, in 201 appearances he has scored 32 goals and provided 44 assists (Transfermarkt).
However, perhaps because of his wretched injury record it seems that most Spurs fans wouldn’t be too upset if the Argentinian international did leave next month.
Here is what some had to say on Twitter about him being linked with a transfer…
Thanks for the rabona goal outside the penalty area but it’s time to go

We don’t have an Argentine in charge now so let’s hope.

Tbf he is injured a lot of the time. No tears will be shed by me if this is anywhere near true.

I would welcome this. For the half a season he only seems to be available he offers little.
