Christian Eriksen is on the verge of finally completing his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Internazionale, with footage emerging of him landing in Milan on Monday morning for his medical (@fraporzio95).
The Dane made it clear that he wishes to leave Spurs during the current transfer window back in December (Telegraph) and with his contract set to expire in the summer, it appears that the north London side have opted to cash in on the midfielder.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham will receive a fee of £16.8 million for the 27-year-old, who could earn a whopping £320,000-per-week at the San Siro. Eriksen has been at Spurs since joining from Ajax in 2013 and he has made 305 appearances during his time at the club, scoring 69 goals and providing 89 assists (Transfermarkt). However, with speculation about his future rife he has struggled to make an impact this season, with just two goals and two assists in 20 league appearances (Transfermarkt).
It seems that the Tottenham fans have divided opinions about his departure. Some are sad to see him go as he has been a great player for them down the years, but others don’t seem too bothered, perhaps because of his performances this season and how vocal he has been about wanting to leave.
