Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho believes that midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is now clear of the injury issues which have plagued his first few months at the club.
The Frenchman joined Spurs from Lyon in the summer for a record fee of £53.8 million (BBC Sport), but as of yet, he hasn’t been able to make a major impact in north London.
Indeed due to a number of injuries he has only managed to start in 10 of their 25 Premier League matches so far (Transfermarkt). It has been frustrating for everyone associated with the club that the 23-year-old hasn’t been on the pitch often enough, but according to Mourinho, he is now fit and ready to make his mark on the season.
Speaking about Ndombele prior their FA Cup replay win against Southampton, Mourinho said (via football.london): “He is not with problems now, he is training normally and now it is time, instead of playing 15 or 20 minutes, to play more. So yes, he is a player with amazing quality.”
Naturally, plenty of Spurs fans are really excited by the prospect of a fully fit Ndombele coming into the team. Many have taken to Twitter to suggest that he could become an important player for them, with some even going as far as saying that he could become one of the best midfielders in the world if he stays injury free.

The guy has the fanbase in awe in his limited action. Imagining how good he can be if he can string together 30 games injury free is scary!
