Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Norwich City duo Max Aarons and Ben Godfrey in the summer transfer window, according to a report from the Daily Express.
It is suggested that Jose Mourinho was already targeting Aarons and wants to sign the right-back in a deal worth around £30m at the end of the season.
However, it is also thought that the club have watched Godfrey on several occasions and that they may look to complete a double swoop for the Canaries defenders. The only issue would be Norwich’s valuation of the centre-back, with the report suggesting that they would want around £50m before allowing him to leave.
Both players have been regulars at Carrow Road this season, with Aarons starting in 23 of their 25 Premier League matches (Transfermarkt) whilst Godfrey has featured 18 times (Transfermarkt).
It seems that Spurs fans have differing opinions on whether or not they should sign the duo, however. Some think they would be strong additions, but others aren’t as keen and suggest they wouldn’t be good enough, pointing to the fact that they are currently playing for the worst team in the league as Norwich sit rock bottom (BBC Sport).
