Italian outfit Hellas Verona have submitted a loan offer for Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth, that is according to a report from SportsMole.
The deal would include a guarantee that the Argentine would feature in at least 70% of games played by the Serie A side and also a €10 million option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Foyth has not been in favour since Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino in the dugout at Spurs. Indeed since the Portuguese’s first match in charge (v West Ham, 23rd November), the centre-back has played just 46 minutes of Premier League football whilst his only other appearances was 90 minutes in a Champions League dead rubber against Bayern Munich (Transfermarkt).
The report suggests that the 22-year-old is open to a move away from Tottenham this month in order to get more minutes, as he looks to win a place in the Argentina squad ahead of this summer’s Copa America.
However several Spurs fans don’t want to see this deal happen, mainly because they don’t want to see Foyth leaving permanently and should this happen there is a chance that could happen at the end of the season. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…

Would absolutely hate to see him leave permanently. Everyone wants a ball playing central defender, they add so much to a team, but no one has the patience to allow him to make mistakes while he learns his trade. Fairly sure most top centre backs weren’t fault free at his age.
