Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy in the summer transfer window, that is according to a report from The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.
It is thought that the Ligue 1 outfit are prepared to sanction a move for the 23-year-old now if a bid of £20 million comes in. That is because they fear relegation and therefore want the fee agreed so that they can prepare their own transfers ahead of next season.
Spurs watched the striker in a recent game against Paris Saint-Germain in which he scored twice, but they could face competition for his signature with both West Ham United and Brighton also reportedly keen on the player. In total, Guirassy has scored eight times in 21 Ligue 1 appearances this season with four of those coming in his last six (Transfermarkt).
However, it seems that this isn’t a transfer that many Spurs fans would be keen on. Indeed, many have taken to Twitter to air their views on it, with some questioning why they would want Guirassy, some want the money spent elsewhere whilst others aren’t even sure who the Frenchman is.
Here is what some had to say…
Who even is this? So Spursy!

Why don’t Spurs look domestically more for new signings? You look at Liverpool and a lot of their main men now were bought as proven PL players, eg Salah, Henderson, Mane, Ox etc etc

Not for me imo we need 2 look closer 2 home someone that has prem experience
We need 2 get this one right if Levy gets him & he isn’t gud enough 4 the prem then we still only have Kane
If we cud afford time 4 him 2 settle I’d be all 4 it but we can’t— McCrory (@SuperHotspursfc) February 23, 2020
Would rather spend that 20mil on the Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard
