Paris Saint Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has indicated that striker Edinson Cavani may leave the club in the current transfer window.
Following the Ligue 1 club’s 1-0 victory against Lorient, the German manager was asked about his striker’s future and he admitted that he is “not sure that Edinson Cavani will be here in February,” (via Metro).
That could open the door for the Uruguayan to move to Tottenham Hotspur this month, with the north London club having been linked with him in recent weeks (El Pais). Indeed, Spurs may well be searching for a striker after Harry Kane was ruled out until April at the earliest having had surgery on his ruptured hamstring (tottenhamhotspur.com).
If they could get him then Cavani would perhaps be a good addition, considering he has scored 339 goals in his club career with 302 of those coming in Europe for both PSG and Napoli (Transfermarkt). Tuchel’s comments will certainly give some Tottenham fans hope that he could sign for them and plenty of them would certainly like a deal to happen after the Independent suggested there was interest earlier in this window.

Perfect addition. A winner, experience, will lift the fans, won’t have to be googled, low priced purchase and sell on to China / MLS. Even if it doesn’t work, still best option atm
