Several Tottenham Hotspur fans were left unimpressed with the performance of Harry Winks as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United on Wednesday.
The Englishman started the game in central midfield alongside French international Moussa Sissoko, with the duo replacing Eric Dier and Tanguy Ndombele, who had started in their previous match against Bournemouth (Transfermarkt), in the engine room.

However, he really struggled to make much of an impact in the game. Indeed the 23-year-old failed to play any key passes, whilst also having one unsuccessful touch and losing possession on six occasions (via SofaScore).
Ultimately he was withdrawn by manager Jose Mourinho after 69 minutes (WhoScored), ending what was a difficult evening for the England international.
His disappointing display has led to plenty of Spurs fans slamming him on social media, with many suggesting that he is not good enough to play for the club.

Winks was truly awful. I think your CDM has to be an imposing figure almost fill up area infront of the back 4 like a good keeper fills the goal. But he doesn’t just looks like nobody is there. I’d hope he’d kick on but just hasn’t and right now he’s nowhere near good enough ☹️
