Tottenham Hotspur fans want midfielder Victor Wanyama to leave the club after his performance in last night’s loss away to League Two Colchester United.
Spurs lost 4-3 on penalties after the game was tied 0-0 after 90 minutes. The Kenya international played the entire game and was given a rating of five out of 10 by football.london, who alluded to his differing performances in the first and second half (via football.london).
Wanyama has been at the club since his move from south coast club Southampton for just £11m in the summer of 2016 (via BBC).
Indeed, last night’s game in the League Cup was the only start Wanyama has managed for the north London club this season. In fact, he was one of a dozen players who were transfer-listed in the summer, with the club hoping to move him on (via Evening Standard).
Now it seems fans have had enough of him after the 28-year-old’s performance last night as they took to Twitter to ask the club to get rid of him.
