Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be active in the January transfer window as they failed to make any additions in the summer.
Rumours concerning Spurs and possible targets have been swirling around for a while already and with just over a month still to go before they can officially sign anyone, Mauricio Pochettino’s side continue to be linked with attractive options.
The Brazilian has become one of the Serie A side’s star players and it is understood that Tottenham could table an offer of around €40million to try and land him, although the Italians are not keen on entertaining an offer and will not open negotiations.
The Verdict:
A defensive midfielder, Allan could be an excellent addition for Spurs to make as they will likely need to replace both Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.
The current Tottenham duo’s futures remain doubtful at the moment, with the Belgium international thought to be heading to Asia once his contract expires in the summer.
However, with Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis not interested in listening to any offers for the Brazilian, Pochettino and Daniel Levy may have to look elsewhere in January.
