Tottenham’s 2024/25 season ended on a positive note, with a Europa League victory to close out what had been a poor Premier League campaign.
Now, a new chapter has begun in North London. Club legend Son Heung-min has left for Los Angeles FC, and with Ange Postecoglou being replaced by Thomas Frank, the highly regarded coach from Brentford – it promises to be an exciting, if not unpredictable 2025/26 campaign.
Fortunately, Frank’s era is already taking shape with several exciting new arrivals, including Mohamed Kudus, João Palhinha (on loan from Bayern), and promising youngsters Luka Vuskovic and Kota Takai.
Yet another name linked with Spurs this summer is Marc Casado, the highly-rated Barcelona midfielder.
And now, reports suggest that Tottenham have learned just how much it will take to land the 21-year-old.
Spurs Discover Price for Marc Casado

According to a recent report from SPORT, Tottenham Hotspur have explored the possibility of signing Casado from Barcelona.
The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder has long been touted as one of the brightest prospects in La Masia, with former Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets describing him as “spectacular.”
Casado had a solid season with Hansi Flick’s midfield last year, making 27 starts across all competitions. His performances were crucial before he suffered a late-season injury. However, despite his promising form, there are reports suggesting that Barcelona could be willing to part with him.
SPORT claims that Barcelona would accept a fee of just £26 million for the midfielder this summer, as they look to make room in their already competitive midfield.
However, there is a twist. Casado is reportedly not eager to leave Barcelona. The club will only sell him if the player himself expresses a desire to move.
Given Barcelona’s current depth in midfield — with Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo, and Fermín López all vying for positions — Casado’s future at the Camp Nou appears uncertain.
If Casado is willing to leave Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur would undoubtedly be in a strong position to bring him in for the reported £26 million fee. Spurs can certainly afford the asking price, and Casado’s potential is undeniable.
The big question remains: will he be willing to leave Barcelona to fight for a place in Spurs’ midfield? If he’s determined to prove himself at the Camp Nou, a move to North London might not be in the cards.
