Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be monitoring one of Europe’s exciting defenders.
Sky Sports are claiming Matthias Ginter is on their radar as the Borussia Monchengladbach enforcer continues to impress with his performances.
The Germany international has impressed with his displays for the Bundesliga outfit and is thought to be on the radar of arch-rivals Arsenal as well.
The 25-year-old has been a key figure for Monchengladbach this season and has shown that he has some great technical ability when on the ball.
Valued at £31.5million by Transfermarkt, Ginter is confident on the ball and has the ability to put in a great pass, whilst also being able to play on the right of the defence.
With Toby Alderweireld available for £25m due to a clause in his contract, Spurs appear to be preparing themselves should a club come in for the Belgium international in the summer.
The Verdict:
Ginter could be an excellent addition to the Tottenham side, especially if Alderweireld were to depart from the club in the summer.
Mauricio Pochettino may already have a number of defenders at the club, but with Jan Vertonghen also getting older, it could be a good idea to bring the German to north London.
However, Spurs could face some stiff competition from their arch-rivals Arsenal, as they are desperate to fix their problems at the back.
