The Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been longing for his return…
Without a win since the start of October, Tottenham have been going through a rough spell of form as of late – and it is no coincidence that their poor form has coincided with the absence of Harry Kane.
The English forward has been out-of-action for around a month – and the Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern fear that the Lilywhites could lack firepower in the North London derby next weekend without the prolific forward…
Thankfully – from their perspective – they have received a huge boost following Tottenham’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
Speaking after the clash, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that there is a chance that Harry Kane could be fit for the game next weekend against rivals Arsenal….
According to the Sun, he said: “[For] Wednesday [the chance of him playing is] 50 per cent and Sunday we will see”.
Never one to give much away, Mauricio Pochettino is purposely not giving any direct answers ahead of the Arsenal game – but the odd chance of him being fit is far greater than having no hope at all.
If he gets a game in mid-week in the Champions League, as Pochettino is hinting, then he appears likely to play at the weekend.
Harry Kane has been in good form this season, and prior to his injury, he had picked up 2 Premier League goals in 5 appearances.
Our landlord thinks that Spurs have lacked firepower since his injury – and his return could turn Pochettino’s season around.
