These Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming after Jose Mourinho revealed his transfer plans for the summer in his pre-match press conference ahead of their FA Cup last-sixteen clash with Norwich City.
This comes after a tweet from Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick who took Mourinho’s quotes from the conference and posted them. The Portuguese ruled out making wholesale changes to his squad in the off-season, suggesting it is not what is needed at the club.
Some Spurs fans in recent years have called on the club to buy more players in the transfer window. Having established themselves in the Champions League in recent seasons, and the fact the club is based in London, they arguably have had the pulling power to attract big names to the club.
With Spurs not winning the top division title for sixty years, fans will want to end that run sooner rather than later, and spending big money might do it. But that looks unlikely on the back of Mourinho’s revelation.
These fans blame Daniel Levy for Mourinho’s reasoning behind his transfer plans:
