Speaking to Italian Radio (via Calciomercato.it), Italian reporter Sandro Sabatini has made a big Tottenham Hotspur transfer claim involving AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The Lowdown: Spurs eyeing Kessie...

As backed by multiple sources over this last week, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and Lilywhites transfer chief Fabio Paratici are certainly interested in signing the Ivorian as his San Siro contract winds down.

ESPN recently claimed that Spurs are set to make a 'lucrative' offer as they aim to tempt Kessie into signing a pre-contract agreement with a view to signing for free in the summer.

Meanwhile, reliable reporter Dan Kilpatrick of The Evening Standard says that the 25-year-old is indeed a target for the club.

Making a big claim live on air, Sabatini has now shared the latest on Kessie.

The Latest: Spurs can sign for just £8.3m this month...

According to his information, given Kessie's contract, Milan could now green light his January sale for just €10 million (£8.3m) in a potentially big boost for Spurs if they wish to bring him in even earlier.

"Milan, from what I understand, if they receive a reasonable offer for Kessie's remaining four months, they will sell it," he explained (via Calciomercato.it).

"Ten million? Yes, and Tottenham can buy it for 10 million.”

The Verdict: Exciting claim...

News that Milan could accept just £8.3m for Kessie this month amid his precarious contract situation should come as music to the ears of Spurs supporters.

For a meagre fee, Paratici could seriously back Conte's push for a top four finish if he decides to try and bring the 52-cap international before the end of January.

Bagging 19 goals and seven assists in all competitions since the start of 2020/2021, Kessie has thrived in a more advanced attacking role under manager Stefano Pioli despite being a natural defensive midfield player.

So much so, Milan's manager called his star man a 'sumptuous' player, leaving little wonder his estimated market value is around £43.2 million.

Given the Rossoneri could now part ways for around 20 per cent of that amount in a seismic winter discount, Tottenham must surely consider paying the £8.3m to make Kessie the first signing of Conte's era in charge.
