As per Juve Live, there has been a huge update on Tottenham Hotspur’s decision over whether to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently from Juventus.
The Lowdown: Kulusevski shining…
The Sweden international signed on loan for Spurs in the January transfer window, joining Antonio Conte from Juve alongside midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.
Kulusevski has been in fine form recently, developing a deadly understanding with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min as part of a Spurs attacking three.
The 21-year-old has bagged two goals and three assists in his last four Premier League matches, and despite having only just arrived, this form has apparently impressed Spurs chiefs enough to make a major decision.
The Latest: Juve Live make major Kulusevski claim…
According to JL, as also translated by Sport Witness, Tottenham ‘will redeem’ Kulusevski and seem ‘more and more convinced’ signing him permanently – with it looking ‘certified’ that Fabio Paratici and co are going to do so.
It is believed that the Lilywhites ‘will try in every way’ to exercise landing him on a permanent deal for Conte and Spurs, and if that does happen, €40 million (£34m) would be sent Juve’s way.
The Verdict: Big update…
After just eight games in all competitions, Tottenham making this call already certainly comes as a big claim to make.
However, if Kulusevski continues in this rich vein of form, we believe it is only a matter of time before the Lilywhites inevitably opt to secure the player and tie him down as indefinite Conte player.
Still young and with bags of potential still to be realised, based off what we’ve seen, Spurs could have a real gem on their hands for years to come going by this development out of Italy.
