Tottenham have once again been brought up in the conversation on the future of Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala, with an update now emerging on his 'negotiations' for a new contract.

The Lowdown: Kessie and Bale rumours

Fabio Paratici was busy in the final days of the winter window, bringing in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus.

His attentions have now seemingly turned to potential pre-contract agreements, with Franck Kessie and Gareth Bale two players heavily linked.

Spurs have reportedly made a ‘very powerful offer’ to Kessie, whereas stories in Italy claim Bale has already penned a pre-contract agreement with Tottenham.

And it now appears as if Dybala could be the third player who the club could approach ahead of a possible pre-contract agreement.

The Latest: Contract talks stall

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, relayed by Sports Witness, 'negotiations are stalled' between Juventus and Dybala over a new contract, which is opening the door for Tottenham.

Many sides, including Spurs, are ‘at the window’ for Dybala, who, at this moment in time, will be a free agent at the end of June.

The Verdict: Get it done

Antonio Conte wants to bring Dybala to north London, and with the club’s lack of central attacking options, Spurs should be doing everything they can to grant his wish and get a pre-contract agreement in place.

The Argentine can play as a centre-forward, second striker or attacking midfielder and is valued at £45m by Transfermarkt - getting him as a free signing would be astounding business even if just from a purely financial perspective.

He is a real asset on the pitch too though, contributing to 159 goals in 279 games with Juventus and still just 28 years of age, so you’d like to think he still has plenty to offer at the highest level and could help take some of the goalscoring workload off of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son’s shoulders.
