According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus this summer.

The Lowdown: Paratici on verge of joining Spurs

Fabio Paratici recently left his post as Juventus' sporting director after more than 10 years at the club, and he is now said to be on the verge of joining Spurs (Goal.com).

As such, the Lilywhites have already been linked with moves for Leonardo Bonucci and Adrien Rabiot (Gazzetta Dello Sport via Football Italia) in recent days, and it now appears the soon-to-be Spurs transfers chief is interested in another player from the Old Lady.

The Latest: Spurs eye Kulusevski

It is being reported that the north London outfit now have their eye on Sweden international Kulusevski.

Although it is difficult to imagine Juve selling the 21-year-old, the report says, an attempt will be made to prise him away, with Paratici clearly keen to raid his old club for a few gems.

The Verdict: Ambitious signing

There is little doubt about it - Kulusevski would be a fantastic signing for Tottenham if they could get a deal over the line.

He initially made his name on loan at Parma, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in Serie A during the 2019/20 campaign (Transfermarkt) before a promotion to Juve's first team set-up.

There, he netted seven and assisted seven in his debut campaign in all competitions. He received high praise from teammate Cristiano Ronaldo too, who called him "excellent" (via 90min.com).

He has even been compared to Mohamed Salah (forbes.com) - all of this high praise indicates he is a top talent for the future.

Valued at £36m (Transfermarkt), he would cost a fair chunk of change for Daniel Levy and co, but his arrival could be a real statement of intent from Paratici and Levy.
