By now it seems all done and dusted, doesn’t it? Zinedine Zidane has returned to Real Madrid, Mauricio Pochettino is happy in North London and the whole world expects Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get the Old Trafford gig full-time, so the Red Devils have been taking to Twitter to demand that the Norwegian can just sign the contract now.

As the fans wait for their clash with Watford this weekend, they’ve all latched onto their club’s latest tweet about availability for the tie and been demanding that their star man signs the contract now. Nothing would make the fans happier than Ole staying at the wheel for another five years, and whilst it may all go off the rails sooner or later, at the moment the fans are happy as they’ve ever been.
From the stunning comeback in Paris to away wins against Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, there are very few blots on the Norwegian’s record, and you can’t blame the fans for demanding that their former hero from his playing days becomes the next permanent manager. It certainly won’t be easy to negotiate the terms of his deal, especially when you consider the problems that the club have had with deals for the likes of David De Gea and Ander Herrera, but it’s a deal that has to happen.
