Tottenham Hotspur will be preparing for their clash with Barcelona at Wembley on Wednesday as they look to get their Champions League campaign up and running.
Spurs were beaten in the final moments when in Italy facing Inter Milan, whilst the Catalan giants hammered PSV Eindhoven in their last European fixture.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will have been welcomed by Hugo Lloris’ return, as the goalkeeper is available for selection, however, they still have a number of injury concerns.
Despite the injury concerns, it could be a great opportunity for their fringe players to step up and give Pochettino some food for thought.
One man could be Victor Wanyama, who has seen his game-time drop, although injuries have played a role in that to an extent.
The Kenya international could come into the side as a direct replacement for Dembele and should look to use the opportunity to impress Pochettino and force him into the first-team once again, having made just two substitute appearances so far this season in the Premier League.
The Verdict:

There is no doubt the injuries Tottenham have will hurt them against Barcelona, however, they do have the players available in the squad to cope with certain situations.
Wanyama would be an excellent example as the former Southampton midfielder has been a solid player during his time in north London.
The £27million-rated midfielder, as per Transfermarkt, should look to make the most of the opportunity, should he be given one, as he looks to force himself on the teamsheet in the future.
