Here in the Football Transfer Tavern we love great goals.

There’s something special about seeing a player go on a mazy dribble and slam home or a strike from distance that leaves the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

They can come in all kinds of forms too, and that’s why we’ll never get bored of them.

Spurs fans have certainly seen their fair share of great goals over the years as well.

They’ve seen players like Jurgen Klinsmann, Jimmy Greaves, Gary Lineker and David Ginola all hit the back of the White Hart Lane net, so it’s hard to try and narrow down what the best goals for the club are.

Nevertheless, our landlord reckons it’s a challenge worth taking on and thinks these THREE goals are right up there with the best ever for the club. What do you think?

Gareth Bale v Inter Milan

This wasn’t necessarily the best goal in the world though it was a very good one but it’s the significance that makes it stand out.

This was arguably the moment Gareth Bale realised he could compete on the biggest club stage of all has he roasted Maicon, who was at the top of his game at the time.

The Welshman scored a hat-trick in this game but it’s his first at 3:20 where you see his career begin to sky-rocket.

Paul Gascoigne v Arsenal

FA Cup Semi-Final against your fiercest rivals and your best player, arguably one of England’s best ever, does this.

What more can you say? This one stayed hit from Gascoigne.

Ricky Villa v Manchester City

Another FA Cup game but this time it’s the final replay in 1981.

Villa picks the ball up, slaloms around about 700 City defenders and strokes it home.

A goal that exudes composure on one of the biggest stages.
