Premier League new boys Watford have given their fans cause for optimism with a decent, if not superb, start to life back in the top flight.
The Hornets sit in 11th place in the league table and boss Quique Sanchez Flores has begun life in the top flight with relative ease.
Some glory Hornet boys in the Transfer Tavern are quietly catch up with Sky Sports News and the days newspapers when one soul comes across an intriguing article in the Guardian, which suggest a proven Premier League talisman could be on his way to Vicarage Road.
Ex-Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is currently without a club following his release from Tottenham in the summer and the newspaper claims that Watford might be keen on the target man.
Someone of Adebayor’s experience would be a treat to the Hornets who despite a good start, aren’t blessed with Premier League experienced players in bucket loads. Flores told the paper:
“I am focused on the players that want to come to Watford. We are only interested in the good players and the good names, so this is very good news (being linked with Adebayor.)”
The opinionated landlord in the Tavern thinks the ex-Manchester City striker would be shrewd move.
He said: “His experience is there for all to see, if the Watford manager can get his head right, then they would have a right player on their hands.”
