Watford interested in move for experienced Premier League striker

AdebayorWatford fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are delighted to be linked with a move for an experienced Premier League striker.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the club are interested in bringing former Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur forward Emnanuel Adebayor to the club.

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores is a keen admirer of the big frontman as he looks to bring in competition to keep current strikers Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney on their toes.

31-year-old Adebayor has been without a club since his early release from Spurs in September following failed summer moves to Aston Villa and West Ham United. The big striker knows he will have to take a large pay cut to continue his career in the Premier League as no clubs will be looking to match his three figure weekly wage he was receiving at White Hart Lane.

The Watford fans in The Transfer Tavern would love a deal to be done, but understands the club may not be able to compete with the wages offered by other clubs should they decide to make a move for the striker.

Watford fans, where would Adebayor fit into your side with Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo? Let us know in the comments below!
