The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been setting their hopes really high over the last few days. The club is expected to announce Marcelo Bielsa as the new gaffer in the coming days and it’s a feeling that The Whites aren’t used to as they pile into the bookies to slap a few quid on Leeds United to win the Championship this season.
We’re gonna win the league.
We have the manager we want – Bielsa
(Announcement Today or Tomorrow)We finally have 2 proven Strikers
(A. Hernandez & Vydra, Possible announcement at the same time as Bielsa)Oh & Bartley is on his way home. #LUFC

To be fair to them, it’s not every day that a Championship side are about to appoint a manager with the experience and calibre of Bielsa. The Argentine manager has managed all sorts of clubs throughout his career, from Marseille and Athletic Bilbao to the Chilean and Argentinian national teams, however, the 62-year-old is yet to dip his toes into English football and it’ll be interesting to see how fares in Yorkshire.
The manager who was described as Pep Guardiola as the best coach in the world doesn’t walk through the doors at Elland Road every day, and when he does there’s definitely reason to get your hopes up. The fans will be hoping though, that Bielsa doesn’t have a similar run in to what happened at his last club. His was appointed as LOSC Lille manager in summer last year but only made it to November before leaving the French outfit.
You can read our optimistic Whites’ thoughts on Bielsa here:
Come on, Leeds! Hire Marcelo #Bielsa and in 2022 we will be playing the Champions League.

The Leeds bipolar in me must be up today , just backed them to win the league (something I've never done before). Just in case Bielsa , Hernandez and Bartley are announced this week and the odds get slashed #Lufc

Look promising for the club and i like all fans hope Bielsa will be a success but it will take alot of hard work and for all of the signings to hit the ground running in order for #lufc to make it a promotion season in his first season as head coach

The Leeds fans in the Tavern can be forgiven for getting excited as if Bielsa does come to Elland Road and manages to implement his style then it will be just a matter of time before the club reach the big time again.
