Arsenal fans may finally be handed some good news here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro report that one of their best players is set to return from injury in time to play Manchester United.

The player in question is Olivier Giroud, who has been on the treatment table for months now and has been sorely missed in the Arsenal team – along with a fair few other players according to our punters!

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger spoke about Giroud and claimed he will: ‘join back in training next week’.

That of course will make him available for the clash with Manchester United after the international break and we think that he will hand a massive boost to the Gunners.

As one of our punters notes over a pint and burger with our landlord, we think that Giroud’s return from injury is not just a great thing for the club but also for the player who can show his manager why he deserves to be considered the clubs number one striker.
