Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for some last minute deals before the window shuts tomorrow night.

It’s been a quiet window for the Gunners up until now with Arsene Wenger evidently happy with what he has in his squad as we head towards the business end of the season.

Arsenal are still in the Champions League and the FA Cup whilst their Premier League title hopes are still realistic and so you can see why the Frenchman may feel this way.

Even so, if the Gunners are to go far in all of the competitions you do feel, even if Wenger doesn’t, that they could do with a couple more additions before the deadline tomorrow night.

Certainly, our landlord feels this way and reckons, with that in mind, that the French boss should actually go and ask for these two players before tomorrow night…

Andrea Belotti

Belotti is one of the most talented young forwards in Europe and would almost definitely make a good impression on the Arsenal squad.

Up top Alexis Sanchez has performed well through the middle and down the left whilst Olivier Giroud has also had a decent campaign. We’ve seen flashes of what Lucas Perez can do, too, and so signing Belotti would surely give the Gunners an even better strike-force.

Ricardo Rodriguez

One area above all else strikes you as where Arsenal need to improve and that is at left back.

Neither Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs are really good enough to play for the Gunners if they want to win the league this season and so work needs to be done on that area. Rodriguez would certainly be an improvement on the pair, then, and would give the Emirates side a very strong-looking defence.
