Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are expecting another crack at the Champions League next season with them currently second in the league.
Certainly, they’d like to see their club have another bite of that particular cherry after they crashed out of the group stages this time around with some pretty abject displays.
Indeed, they didn’t play too well in the Europa League with Gent dumping them out as the tie saw Dele Alli get sent off for a woeful challenge at Wembley.
Indeed, the repercussions of that are still being realised with it today being confirmed that the midfielder will miss the next three games Spurs play in Europe.
