Our West Brom fans here in the Transfer Tavern are loving the way they’re playing this season and it could get even better with the signing of Charlie Taylor – according to The Sun.
The Baggies have been in fine form this season with their typical solid defending combined with some more attacking flair than usual thanks to the likes of Nacer Chadli and Matt Phillips.
They’re looking good to challenge for Europe, then, and the signing of the promising Leeds defender could make that challenge even stronger.
The Baggies have had to play Allan Nyom out of position at left back so far this season and so signing Taylor, predominantly a left sided defender, would surely be a good idea.
His contract currently runs out in the summer with current club Leeds and so the Baggies might be able to tempt the Whites to sell up before he becomes available to go on a free.
Our landlord reckons West Brom should really push for this one to go through as Taylor could be one of the brightest young defenders around over the next few years.
