West Brom: Fans react to Joseph Masi update

West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to an article from Joseph Masi on the current status of an American consortium’s prospective takeover of the Baggies.
It had previously been reported that the consortium from the States was trying to by the Midlands outfit, with Guochuan Lai open to selling. However, his £150m asking price for the club was said to be an obstacle, with the Chinese businessman looking to make as much as possible on the sale of a side which he bought for around £200m in 2016.
Masi has added that another approach was made for the club earlier this year, but the deal was not to Lai’s pleasing. There has been plenty of reaction to this latest news from the team’s supporters, as previously mentioned, and it seems they just want Lai out of the club as soon as possible.
Do you think the Baggies are worth £150m?
Yes

No

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the update from Masi below
So the consortium wanted to pay less because we were in the champ. Then they wanted to pay less because we’re struggling in the Prem. it’s the most Albion story ever. It sounds like Albion are trying to buy Albion!

I suspect there could be more to this than meets the eye, could Lai be looking for some way to release some cash out of the club into his own pocket!
