West Brom fans in the Football Transfer Tavern admit they are somewhat surprised that star striker Saido Berahino is still at the club, and the Birmingham Mail reckons he could even be staying beyond the close of the transfer window.
The England Under-21 star was widely tipped to leave the Hawthorns this summer, with both Tottenham and Manchester City being linked.
Berahino upset manager Tony Pulis last season with an unauthorised interview that revealed he was hoping to ‘move onto bigger things’ at the end of the season, yet no offers have come in for the 22-year-old.
In fact, the Baggies are yet to receive a single call for the forward, who they value at around £20million.
There is still time left in the transfer window of course, but Berahino is tipped to stay at West Brom beyond the end of the transfer window according to the latest reports.
A group of Baggies fans here in the Tavern are praying Berahino stays at the club, and feel he would benefit from one more season at the Midlands club!
