It’s not been an overly happy time for the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern of late, who’ve watched their Hammers fail to hit the nail on the head at all this season.
Problems both on and off the field at the London Stadium have so far plagued the Irons and many of the club’s summer signings have not worked out thus far.
Much to the annoyance of our east London locals, perhaps the biggest flop has been a man many were most excited about, Simone Zaza.
That’s why, after reading reports from the Sun, they’re all but dancing on the pool tables.
They claim the club are looking into trying to remove a £20m clause from the deal they agreed with Juventus when taking him on loan in the summer.
Should the Italian play 14 games in claret and blue, they will reportedly have to shell out the huge figure for a man who is yet to score for the club.
Both Napoli and AC Milan are thought to be keen on bringing the 25-year-old back to Serie A, though Slaven Bilic is believed to ready to field him if he has to.
Currently on eight appearances, removing the deal would save the Hammers a pretty penny indeed.
Will Zaza last the season at West Ham? Let us know below…
