Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see that Slaven Bilic has learned from his mistakes in the transfer window when it opens up next time around.
Indeed, last summer’s market really did see the Croatian cast doubt over his ability to judge players as the likes of Simone Zaza and Gokhan Tore came in and underwhelmed.
In fairness, though, he has signed some decent players, too, and so there must be a hope from the club’s supporters that he can do the same when it comes to getting recruits in this summer’s window.
Who comes in, of course, remains to be seen but, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Paolo Hurtado could be a target for the club.
Indeed, whilst he has been on loan at Vitoria Guimares, Hurtado has performed well with nine goals in all competitions and that means parent club Reading may have a job of keeping hold of him.
Indeed, if the Royals are not promoted this year West Ham will surely feel confident of bringing him in.
