West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to news posted on their official Twitter feed that the club’s season ticket price has been frozen for 2018/19 season. Whilst on the face of things, this should be a cause for celebration among the renewing Hammers, the club’s fans have used it as an excuse to take a dig at the board.

West Ham will be struggling to sell season tickets if they continue in the vein of form they’re currently in as the club looks to bounce back from successive 4-1 defeats to Liverpool and Swansea. It’s been a tough transition for the East Londoners to adjust to life in their new London Stadium since moving from Upton Park back at the start of last season.
Our resident Hammers, who will no doubt be at least a little bit pleased with the frozen ticket prices, have used the news to take a swipe at the board, who fans have previously protested against for putting profits before football. The disgruntled Hammers have been irritated by their club’s lack of investment in the recent transfer windows.
