West Ham United got 2020 off to a brilliant start by beating AFC Bournemouth 4-0 at the London Stadium.

It was the first match of David Moyes’ second spell in charge of the Hammers and goals from Sebastien Haller, Felipe Anderson and a brace from Mark Noble ensured it was a New Year’s Day to remember.
The three goal scorers, particularly Noble, came away with most of the headlines, but one player who also produced an outstanding performance was centre-back Angelo Ogbonna.
The Italian defender made four tackles, three clearances and one interception in the 90 minutes, whilst also winning four ground duels and four aerial duels as he helped his team keep a clean sheet (SofaScore).
Plenty of West Ham fans certainly noticed how well the former Juventus man played against the Cherries, with some taking to social media to heap praise on the 31-year-old.
