Even though West Ham lost at the weekend in a tight 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates, most Hammers fans are still enjoying watching academy product Jeremy Ngakia.
The 19-year-old full-back has impressed against Southampton, Arsenal and Liverpool and it looks like he is now the number one choice right back at the London Stadium (Transfermarkt). He has played only 360 minutes of football in the league, but clearly the quality is there as manager David Moyes continues to trust him whilst West Ham are in the middle of a relegation battle.
They are 16th in the Premier League on 27 points, level with Watford in 17th and AFC Bournemouth in 18th with just nine fixtures left to play (BBC Sport). It doesn’t get any easier for the Hammers either as they face sixth-placed Wolves on Sunday, followed by eight-placed Tottenham Hotspur and fourth-placed Chelsea.

Ngakia has been superb in every game he has played for the West Ham first team so far in his career – even when back fit, Fredericks will struggle to displace Ngakia between now and the end of the season. Ngakia looks tailor made for a long stint as West Ham’s RB going forward.
