West Ham went into half time against League One Gillingham at 0-0 before they managed to walk away 2-0 winners. Things weren’t looking promising for David Moyes’ side, who didn’t have a single shot in the first half, and fans were quick to condemn the poor performance at the break.

Gillingham had taken five corners to West Ham’s one and had three shots on target in the first half, and the lack of attacking intent by the Hammers was causing worry within the fanbase. Across the whole season, their top scorer is Sebastian Haller on just six goals, followed by Aaron Cresswell on three. That isn’t good enough to get West Ham into Europe should that be the aim for the club.
The Premier League outfit posted the news that the half-time whistle had blown by simply saying “goalless at the break”, but many fans had a little more to say about their team’s performance. Some replied and expressed just how annoyed they were that they weren’t dominating the tie comfortably.
Goalless at the break. #GILWHU

lack of intensity and quality . Fredricks needed to be braver going forward , lanzini and snodgrass too slow in moving and passing and rice lacking usual composure … poor first half back to the West Ham way

Take the replay now, don’t even look like scoring. We lack any pace going forward.

West Ham fans, what did you make of the first half against Gillingham?
