David Moyes, Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce are all in contention to replace Manuel Pellegrini as West Ham manager if he is sacked, according to Claret and Hugh.
Pellegrini is thought to be under serious pressure at the London Stadium after leading the team to seven defeats in their last nine (Transfermarkt) and reports suggest that he could be fired if they lose their next game against Southampton (The Guardian).
The trio of managers suggested to take over are all currently out of work and two of them (Allardyce and Moyes) have taken charge of the Hammers in the past.
Whilst Pulis hasn’t managed West Ham before, he does have plenty of Premier League experience having been in charge at Stoke City, Crystal Palace and West Brom in the top flight.
However, it seems that appointing any of the three men in question wouldn’t go down well at all amongst many West Ham supporters.
Many have taken to Twitter to say that they wouldn’t want any of them to replace Pellegrini, with one even suggesting that Alan Pardew would be a better option than either Moyes, Allardyce or Pulis.
Here is what some had to say…
If true, a total nightmare and exactly what I predicted will happen. We have no choice but get Fabianski back, support Pelligrini, and get behind the club. If any of those are appointed, we go down 100% Imagine us playing direct football @westhamfantv @TheLawless

I would laugh, but this is such Sullivan + Gold move putting out these names to shut the fans up. As they don’t want to pay off Pellegrini.

I’d take Pardew back over any of those if we’re digging through PL the back catalogue

They employ Allardyce and I am done.
