West Ham face a difficult task when the Premier League returns on Saturday with the east London club set to welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the London Stadium.
The Premier League champions are the division’s in-form side right now, picking up exactly from where they left off last season, making Saturday’s game a challenging one for West Ham to say the least.
Going into the encounter, though, Manuel Pellegrini has been handed a massive fitness boost with the Chilean confirming in his pre-match press conference that both Andy Carroll and Jack Wilshere have returned to the squad having recovered from their respective injuries.
Injuries have prevented Carroll and Wilshere from being able to make any sort of impact at the London Stadium this campaign but, going forward, the English duo are players that are definitely capable of offering something to the team if they can remain fit.
Have a look at what West Ham supporters are saying on Carroll and Wilshere below…
Wilshere and Carroll on the pitch at the same time? I’ll believe it when I see it.

If they survive getting on and off the coach I’ll be amazed.
