West Ham have been one of the biggest spenders during this transfer window, and the east London club could yet splash out on more signings before deadline day.
And one name manager Manuel Pellegrini is hoping to bring in ahead of the new Premier League season is Porto’s Yacine Brahimi.
According to Sky Sports, Brahimi is one of four Primeira Liga players West Ham are targeting with a delegation said to be in Portugal to negotiate deals, although some reports (via Inside Futbol) have suggested the Algerian is not interested in a move to the London Stadium.
Brahimi, who is valued at £23.4m by Transfermarkt, would be a real coup for West Ham.
But given the fact that the Hammers have already signed two attacking players in Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, missing out on Brahimi would not be catastrophic for Pellegrini.
Once Manuel Lanzini returns from injury, the former Manchester City boss will have another solid option to choose for his attack, while Marko Arnautovic can also play in Brahimi’s preferred position out on the left-hand side.
Have a look at what West Ham supporters are saying on Brahimi below…

Don’t know why we’re focused on Brahimi

We don't need Brahimi. We need a striker. Give me Marega or preferably Gomez. That would be an amazing transfer period. The last icing would be Thomas Hinteregger to replace Ogbonna in CD and another midfielder if Obiang goes. Take your pick on that one.
